Illawarra Shoalhaven Partners in Recovery (ISPIR) is partnering with Uniting Gambling Help Counselling Service Nowra to deliver a free workshop about managing money for people with a mental illness.
‘Making Cents of Money’ is part of a series called: ‘Keys for Recovery’ that ISPIR is offering to improve the lives of people with a mental illness living in our region.
ISPIR Team Leader Jenny Valdivia says this particular workshop will consist of two sessions:
“We are privileged to have Jessica, Financial Counsellor and Renee, Child and Family Therapist from Uniting Gambling Help Counselling Service Nowra, joining us for two workshops targeted to the Bay and Basin Community starting on February 28,” says Jenny.
“The second session will be held two weeks later on the 14th of March to give participants time to put into practice some of the strategies they learn,” added Jenny.
Both workshops will be held at the Vincentia Community Hall (behind the Coles carpark) and will run from 10am until 2pm with lunch included.
The workshops are free and open to anybody with a lived experience of mental illness to attend.
