Me and My Relationships Program
Staff from the University of Wollongong in partnership with Mental Health Carers ARAFMI Illawarra, are running a free program in Wollongong. This program aims to assist people who are providing care to a family member who is living with a mental illness, to overcome interpersonal problems and build stronger and healthier relationships with others in particular the person they provide support to.
This program is suited to people who experience ongoing difficulties and distress related to their current relationships.
Me and My Relationships consists of 12 modules that are provided in two formats
1. Flexible individual program The individual program involves weekly or fortnightly one-on-one sessions with one of the facilitators
2. 12 session group program The group program consists of up to three one-on-one individual sessions, followed by nine group sessions.
The group program will be held on Wednesday mornings, commencing 3 June 2015 from 10am to 11.30am and afternoons, from 4pm to 5.30pm at ARAFMI Illawarra, 1 Atchison Street, Wollongong.
The individual program can be scheduled for most times on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
