16-22 November is Postnatal Depression Awareness Week. An opportunity to raise awareness about perinatal mental health issues in the local community.
The week aims to increase community knowledge about antenatal and postnatal depression and other mental illnesses experienced during the perinatal period. It also aims to eliminate the stigma so that those affected can feel free to seek help.
Pregnancy is a time of happiness and celebration but it is also a time of significant change that some parents may find difficult.
